Flora is currently the Research and Training Manager in the Education Team at Natoora, a specialist fruit and vegetable wholesaler, which seeks to revolutionise our food system by directly sourcing high quality crops from smallholder farmers. Here she creates engaging learning programmes – using flavour as the springboard to talk about the interconnected areas of nutrition, soil health, supply chains and seasonality. A key part of her role is working with schools to get unique, sustainable produce into menus as well as helping to support the food technology curriculum. Previously she worked in the charity and events sectors and is also a trained chef.
Her favourite way to eat a carrot is roasted with harissa and honey, served on whipped feta.
